Major achievements in recent years (........years):

Realizing the importance of primary education, the current government nationalized 74 private primary schools of Tahirpur Upazila. Raised the pay scale of assistant teachers by one step with promotion of the post of head teacher of government primary schools to category 57. In order to reduce teacher: student and student: classroom ratio, 107 teachers have been appointed along with the creation of new posts in this upazila. Pre-primary education has been introduced in government primary schools to ensure 100% enrollment. In the light of the actual demand, a total of 38 posts of Daptari 01 Kam Parhari have been created in each government primary school out of which 35 schools have already been appointed Daptari Kam Parhari and the remaining schools are in the process of recruitment. 00 tube wells have been installed and 19 wash blocks have been constructed to create a conducive environment for learning at the school level. 210640 free text books have been distributed to all students to complete compulsory primary education. Moreover, 29510 students have been given stipends under the education support program for poor families to complete primary education including prevention of schooling. Student councils have been formed in 134 primary schools. 8400000/- to 84000000/- per school per year for implementation of School Level Improvement Plan (SLIP) in 134 primary schools through Decentralization of School Based Development Plan. From 2022 onwards, the primary and secondary education final examinations are being conducted regularly. Since 2012 Bangabandhu and Bangamata Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament is being conducted. As a result in 2012 Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament of Tahirpur Upazila participated in divisional level.

1. Provision of electricity connection to hundreds of schools in Tahirpur Upazila (Approx.).

2. Providing laptops and multimedia projectors to hundreds of schools in Tahirpur upazila.

3. 100% of the students have passed the Primary and Secondary Education Final Examination-2019.

4. Introduction of 100% mid-day meal.

5. Reduced storm surge rates.

6. 100% admission.
